Who we are
Who we are
The team
The SBD Racing Team is a young, dynamic team that consists of both a karting division and a car racing division, featuring a number of dedicated, talented drivers, coaches, and mechanics.
Our team also supports several occasional drivers who regularly come to sharpen their skills and improve their racing abilities.
Do you feel the urge to tear around the Belgian circuits, but feel a bit hesitant about getting behind the wheel of our stunning BMW Z4? No problem, you can always join one of our experienced drivers for an exciting "taxi ride."
Our gear: OTK/Kosmic karts with Rotax Max Senior engines and a stunning BMW Z4
Dante

Hi everyone,
I'm Dante, one of the drivers and coaches of the SBD Racing Team. I'm 17 years old and currently studying Sports at school. As a coach, my goal is to guide karting and racing drivers as best as possible, prepare them for races, and help them reach the top.
I offer both technical support and personal coaching to the drivers in both of our teams.
Since I was a child, I've been passionate about everything related to cars, karting and Formula 1. So it came as no surprise to my parents when I started karting. The saying "It's not just a hobby, it's my life" is definitely something they're familiar with.
After a few years of karting and achieving great victories at European level, switching to cars was a logical next step for me. I know the Belgian circuits like the back of my hand. I love tearing up the asphalt, pushing the car to its limits and setting fast lap times.
Although I've really enjoyed my time in the karting world as a driver, it's now time for me to pass on my knowledge to new talent. Every training, every coaching session, every race is a learning experience, both for our team and for our drivers personally.
We encourage our drivers to push themselves each time, to go beyond their limits, to refine their technique but always with respect for fellow drivers.
Karting and car racing is a lifestyle...
Karting and car racing are my life, my passions!
Brent

I'm Brent, a 21 year old Business Studies student. I am currently in my 3rd year and if everything goes according to plan, I hope to eventually obtain a Master's degree in Commercial Sciences through a bridging program.
Just like my brother, I'm a driver of the SBD Racing Team and it goes without saying that we share the same "racing genes". The itch for karting was sparked at my birthday party at Inkart in Puurs and it has continued to tickle... Unfortunately, Corona has caused a bit of a delay in my karting adventure, which makes me even more driven and passionate.
Karting is more than driving laps on a circuit. It's always learning, pushing yourself to the fullest, but still maintaining your limits. It requires a lot of concentration, good fitness, technical skills and courage.
I love it !
Erik

Hello everyone,
I'm Erik, team manager, coach, mechanic, but above all the father of two talented drivers Brent and Dante from the SBD Racing Team.
What started out as a fun hobby for my sons turned into a new challenge for me. Tire pressure, steering rods, rear axles, racing lines... I didn't have much experience with those in my daily life as a freelance data consultant. Fortunately, in the world of karting and car racing, you can count on the help of experienced colleagues, the internet and Syntra PXL Business...
In the meantime, we've learned the tricks of the trade and can confidently send our drivers out onto the kart track or racing circuit. Even though I know everything is technically in order, I'm always a little bit nervous for our drivers, whether it's my own sons or one of the other racers. SBD Racing isn't just a racing team, it's a family where everyone wants the best for each other.
Just like my sons, racing runs through my veins. As a young boy, I was already watching F1 and DTM. I have a big passion for fast cars, and I occasionally take part in a kart race or a track day at the circuit myself.
It's just racing. Sometimes you have difficult moments, and then you try to work hard, and you keep working hard and you overcome the situation. It's as simple as that. - Max Verstappen
